Positive Reviews

Relaxing outdoor area

Guests tend to appreciate the outdoor area of the hotel, with more than one suggesting that the tropical gardens and pool offered a relaxing setting during their stay. The facilities are perhaps not what you would expect from a hotel that classes itself as a resort but enjoyable regardless.

Clean and spacious accommodation

Whether staying in a studio or an apartment, guests found their allocated accommodation was clean and reasonably spacious. Guests note that the pool view rooms are better than the tree-tops rooms which actually offer a view of a supermarket or the car park.

Good value for money

Guests tend to be of the opinion that this hotel offers good value for money. The nightly rates for the studios and apartments are found to be reasonable for the area and competitive considering the selection of on-site amenities.

Negative Reviews

Air-conditioning could be better

A number of guests mention that the air-conditioning could be improved. It seems that the units struggle with the size of the rooms and the heat. Guests mention that they relied on sleeping under a fan. A minor point, perhaps - this is Australia, after all!

Some road noise

Studios and apartments that face the road are often said to be noisy. This is due to a combination of lots of traffic and a lack of adequate soundproofing. Guests comment that the windows are little more than blinds.

Manager averse to criticism

While some guests found the staff to be friendly and helpful, online responses from the hotel manager to guest criticism, even constructive criticism, are bordering on sarcastic. Whether face to face concerns are approached differently is questionable.
