Positive Reviews

Private bathrooms, comfortable and clean.

Guests found Pere Tarrés’ rooms to be comfortable fairly clean, quiet despite the size of the hostel and each room has private bathrooms, which were much appreciated.

Helpful staff, well-managed, price.

The staff was found to be great — friendly and helpful — while the hostel seems to be well managed and organized and the price for staying there was thought to be very good.

Free breakfast, good kitchen.

Many appreciated the free Spanish breakfast included, and others were happy to be able to use a well-equipped kitchen to cook for themselves (using ingredients from nearby supermarket), even if it did occasionally get a little too busy.

Negative Reviews

Distance for some.

A few of those who stayed were a little bit disappointed at not being in the city centre, but most were happy to use public transport given the cheaper prices at Pere Tarrés.

Wi-Fi weak in rooms.

It seems that at the time of writing in mid-2015, the free Wi-fi was only available in public areas, although staff mentioned there are plans to extend this to the bedrooms.

Some dormitory rooms can get cramped.

You may find, as a few other guests have done, that the dormitory rooms can get a little cramped once you fit in eight people and all of their luggage.
