Positive Reviews

Good accommodation

.Apartments, in particular, are clean, spacious, well decorated and comfortably furnished. Most overlook the attractive pool, so that's an unexpected bonus. There's no shortage of parking spaces either.

Early risers' bonus.

Freshly baked bread from the neighbouring bakery, when combined with a good quality coffee … is a perfect way to start the day here.

Excellent food and value.

It's a bit demeaning to describe the food as ‘pub grub' because it is much better than that. When combined with more than reasonable prices, the food is a prime reason to stay here.

Negative Reviews

Dated … but not for dating.

Some advertised facilities are in the room - but some are not. Great, there's a toaster! Oh, there's no microwave … no plates and no cutlery. There is though, evidence of  previous guests (*room not cleaned properly) and arriving but uninvited guests ... in the form of cockroaches. Black mould on the bathroom tiles is inexcusable. Other guests say plates, cutlery etc; are in their room … but they are filthy! If you're out to impress, keep looking.

Rise but don't shine.

There's an early morning wake-up call as guest truckers get themselves ready to make an early start. Pity this process is shared with other guests who don't have the same timetable. In fairness, truckers aren't the only noisy guests; some ‘tourists' get OTT and rowdy too! Street noise can be another issue.

Staff: you win some and lose some

Accommodation is across the road from the hotel building, so, initially, this can be confusing for the newly arrived guests. Some members of staff are really friendly and helpful regarding this and other queries. Others are downright rude and objectionable. Sadly, it's the latter that stick in the mind and convince you to book in elsewhere next time round.
