Positive Reviews

Great value in the centre of Birmingham

Large, clean rooms with nice bathrooms and loads of hot water make for a great stay. A good tip, though, is to book as far in advance as possible and save even more money.

Fab staff make for a great stay

The hotel is fine but it’s the staff that save the day and make the stay special. Super friendly and efficient, they are a credit to their employers.

It’s the location that wins the day

Whether you are here on business or pleasure, you might turn your nose up at the lack of dining facilities here; there aren’t any! But, Birmingham city centre is on the doorstep with a huge range of pubs and restaurants. Breakfast boxes can be supplied by the hotel although there is a mean place next door where you can get a full breakfast for next to nothing!

Negative Reviews

Noisy lifts are less than uplifting

Old and noisy, you can’t help but remember those old films where the lift is stuck and the occupants’ lives are hanging by a thread. Here, though, they are just noisy and unless you are on one of the higher floors, take the stairs. anyway!

There’s no parking

Secure parking is nearby and the cost won’t break the bank. Inconvenient but, at these prices, there have to be a few moans. Oh! Here comes another! There’s no air conditioning either and this can be a real pain in the centre of the city.

Dithering on the Wi-Fi

There isn’t a charge … but it isn’t free! You can use it for half an hour but, after that, you pay. It’s not very much but it does seem that they are offering something with one hand before snatching it back with the other.
