Historic Charm.

The Bull is very charming, set as it is on the High Street of the famous Cotswold town of Burford. The sense of history in the rooms is all pervading, and the hotel has been well adapted to modern hotel guests' expectations without losing its character.

Excellent Staff.

The staff here come in for great praise from the guests, and the level of attention is excellent, including that given to a large family group who were staying in the Bull to celebrate a birthday. The arrangements and co-ordination by the hotel were fault

Negative Reviews

Shortish Beds.

One of the rooms, at the back above the kitchens, was rather warm and noisy. It was pointed out by guests that the antique beds are fairly short, definitely not suitable for 21st Century basketball players.

Care on Stairs.

The stairs are a little awkward because of the nature of the handrails, and need to be approached with care. In the older part of the building one of the bathrooms was a bit shabby, and elsewhere the cold water pressure was such that the shower was not w

Too Early.

It was felt that closing the restaurant at 9pm was too early, and a little more menu choice would have been appreciated. Having stayed here and enjoyed the cuisine previously, on this occasion guests were disappointed both in the evening and at breakfast.
