Positive Reviews

Lovely rooms in a nice setting for the price.

The rooms are lovely, with simple designs and light décor. They have cosy beds, sufficient space, and a warm ambiance that makes you feel like you're staying at grandmum's or a favourite aunt's. The outside of the inn is just as charming, making this a decent place to stay on an inexpensive budget.

Great base for exploring popular Cambridge sites.

Tenison Towers is the right place to be if you're looking for a base from which to easily tour Cambridge. Museums, shopping, music and sports' venues, galleries, pubs, and of course several universities, are well within train or bus rides, or strolls that range from the quick to the hearty.

Wonderful hostess makes the stay extra special.

The hostess exudes a friendly and inviting sentiment that echoes the inn's atmosphere. Caring, kind, and pleasant to chat with, she does what she can so you feel relaxed, comfortable, and happy to have stayed at her lodging.

Negative Reviews

Lack of proper sound buffering disrupts quiet.

Unfortunately this is another inn that suffers from thin walls. You're likely to hear other guests, the hostess moving around, or even the slam of a window or door. If you're sensitive to noise, then having ear plugs would be a good idea.

Bathrooms are cramped and lack soap and storage.

Bathrooms are quite cramped, with no proper space for toiletries. Soap is often not provided, and the availability of towels or refreshened ones is inconsistent. You may want to have your own, just in case.

Short breakfast time can be inconvenient for some.

Although the breakfast receives praise, it's availability is not conducive for everyone. There's only a short frame of time to have it, which may inconvenience late sleepers or guests who have to leave very early.
