Positive Reviews

Delicious food

The food served here is very palatable and well-cooked. The menu had a lot of variety to choose from. Some of the popular dishes included the venison loin with a pearl barley and sweet potato risotto and roast lamb. Breakfast comprised of porridge, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon and yoghurt among others.

Spacious rooms

Rooms are very basic but very pleasant. They are spacious with soft linen and pillows/cushion on comfortable beds. Furnishings are clean and toiletries used are of good quality. Guests specially loved waking up to the beautiful view of the nearby loch. They could sleep peacefully as the rooms were very quiet, in spite of being across a main road.

Friendly staff members

Most of the guests agreed that having a pleasant staff was a huge bonus to the hotel. They were very courteous and ever ready to help the guests at any hour of the day.

Negative Reviews

Dull lighting

Many guest felt that the lighting in the rooms was very dim making it difficult to read. They said that having brighter lights would have made the rooms brighter.

Unreliable Wi-Fi connection; slightly overpriced

The Wi-Fi connection was very erratic and kept disconnecting time and again. This made any kind of business or personal communication very difficult. Few guests felt that the hotel was overpriced for the facilities offered.

There was a lot of noise coming from the bar which stayed open well after midnight. They suggested that the bar should have fixed timings for better noise management.
