Positive Reviews
positive:
Simply amazing.
Guests visited this idyllic paradise with high expectations, and for the most part, they were met. A stand out were large rooms that were more like a private villa than a suite. With a separate lounge and bedroom area, as well as a bathroom with a dressing area, guests had more than enough space. They were also delighted by the outdoor courtyard garden that really gave rooms an extra wow factor.
positive:
Beaches, here we come!
When the beach was calling, Surin Beach was a five-minute walk away, and Bang Tao Beach was a nice 25-minute stroll. Both had free access to sun loungers and a beach club. Busier Patong Beach is about 25 minutes away by taxi.
positive:
Delectable cuisine.
When it came to food, guests had the best of both worlds at Ayara Hilltops Boutique Resort & Spa. Hamburgers and Pad Thai were side by side on the menu, and guests could always find something that they wanted to eat. While the Thai cooking class was a bit too basic for some guests, many raved about the mouth-watering selections at breakfast.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Some noise.
Even paradise can have its faults, and some guests discovered this when they encountered road noise. While fountains and water features do a good job to drown out most outside sounds, a few were disappointed with traffic noise close to the restaurant and pool.
negative:
High on a hill.
Some guests were inconvenienced by the walk to and from the beach. The majority of guests didn't have a problem with the distance to the ocean, and some even relished the extra exercise, but a few were left huffing and puffing.
negative:
Service inconsistencies.
Many guests loved the service at Hilltops Boutique Resort & Spa, but a few were let down by unfriendly front desk staff and spa staff that lacked the warm Thai hospitality they were used to.
