The Pampas Motel. The Pampas Motel is located in Port Augusta, which sits at the tip of the Spencer Gulf proudly proclaiming itself ‘the crossroads of Australia. It overlooks the waters of the upper Spencer Gulf & the Flinders Rangers. The Pampas Motel was established back in 1883 ( As the Suburban Hotel) is the last heritage Hotel built in that era. The family owners took up residence in 1961 & have maintained & operated it as a successful accommodation business within the city of Port Augusta for well over 50 years! It offers modern self-contained ground floor units, & hotel rooms with (shared facilities), where guests can enjoy the friendly atmosphere in the main house or adjacent pergolas and barbecue area. It is conveniently situated close to takeaways, hospital, laundry, motorbike/vehicle mechanics and hotel. Port Augusta is a city full of history and sites to visit - Flinders Rangers, Pitchi Richi Railway, Wadlata Centre, Arid Lands Botanic Garden, Curnadatta Art Gallery, Golf and Fishing.
