Featuring tropical gardens, free airport transfers, and a front desk that will assist with ticket/tour bookings, guests will also be able to relax in the lovely outdoor seating area and enjoy a good book. Meals can be prepared in the well-equipped kitchens in each of the apartments at Tropical Villa 8 - Tropical Reef, or try one of the many excellent eateries within a short walk of the property. With Downtown Port Douglas being within an easy walk, and the beach right on the doorstep, both shopaholics and sun worshippers felt this was an absolutely ideal spot to be. Many guests appreciated the tropical gardens on the property itself, and said this made for a wonderfully peaceful vacation.
The pool and gardens also includes an outdoor barbecue area, and visitors enjoyed spending time on the property itself. The vibe is quite, yet entertaining, and those visitors who spent only a couple of days on vacation said they enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of the property.
Whether you are on holiday alone, as a couple, or the entire family is enjoying a visit, it has been noticed that the apartments are well laid out, the appliances are new, and the fixtures and fittings are current, comfortable and inviting.
Several visitors felt these generally modern apartments were lacking in a few areas like kitchen counters, and dated curtains. The counters showed a couple of minor cracks and some of the corners were peeling. The curtains could do with a deep clean, and guests said they would look bright and fresh after that.
There have been several complaints from travellers who reported feeling very claustrophobic in the small bathrooms. There is no extractor fan installed, and it gets very humid and stuffy when guests use the hot water. Many visitors have to leave the door open just a crack.
