About Flinders Ranges National Park

The Flinders Ranges are a historically important site for the Aboriginal population who have lived there for over forty thousand years. The ranges are known for the fossil remains which are found throughout them.

The National Park covers 95,000 hectares and is located between the towns of Hawker and Blinman. Its natural attractions encompass a range of flora, fauna and geology. The cultural attractions include both indigenous and early settlers' heritage, with aboriginal rock engravings to be found. Activities catered for include bushwalking, camping, scenic touring, birdwatching and cycling.

Pets and fires are prohibited in the park.
