Positive Reviews

Good central location

Overall, guests have been positive about the location of this hotel, particularly in respect of its proximity to Salamanca Square and Market and historic Battery Point. The location has felt safe and has offered ample parking.

Friendly service from staff

Previous guests have enjoyed a good standard of service here. It's not exactly five-star all the way but exceeds expectations for a hotel in the budget marketplace. The staff is consistently described as friendly and helpful.

Reasonable value for money

While there are some areas of disappointment at this Hobart hotel, guests do tend to find that it is a budget-friendly option. The room rates offer reasonable value for money, especially considering that you'll get a free light breakfast.

Negative Reviews

May find rooms dated and small

The majority of guests have found the rooms here are clean but do tend to describe the accommodation as fairly small and dated in appearance. Expect a budget room and you shouldn't be disappointed.

Wi-Fi could be much improved

The Wi-Fi here attracts regular criticism from guests. The signal is found to be rather intermittent and the connection slow once online. That said, the connection does appear to be better downstairs than in the individual guest rooms.

Some noise concerns

Guests who were allocated one of the front facing rooms found that they were disturbed by early morning traffic. Plus, at least some of the rooms are within earshot of the music coming from the bar in the property's lower floors.
