Plenty to explore in the area

The hotel is really well located; not too far from Hull city centre and therefore plenty of shops and pubs, The Deep aquarium and the University of Hull to name a few spots you might be keen on visiting There is definitely something for everyone to see or do while staying here.

Comfortable and large rooms

The guest rooms are well presented, kept clean and plenty have stunning views of the manicured grounds They are a generous size and furniture is comfortable, however the interiors may need some updating here and there.

Health club a good refresher after business

The gym and in particular the indoor swimming pool have proved popular with business visitors as well as other guests of the hotel as a way to unwind after a busy day.

Good wedding and event support

The hotel has been praised for smooth, efficient service during the many weddings and other functions hosted on the grounds and in the function/meeting rooms.

Negative Reviews

Fitness centre closes fairly early

The hotel’s health centre closes at about 6:30pm, which may be a little early for people who plan on being out all day, for example.

Bathrooms could use an upgrade

Certain aspects of the bathrooms eg Showers, some tiling, etc may need some repair or replacement.

Generally a great choice

Overall, the Mercure Hull is a solid hotel in a good location and not many complaints can be made about its quality A great choice if you need to be in the area.
