About Treasure Island Resorts

Treasure Island Resorts, set in over eight acres of parkland off the Mumbai to Pandharpur Road, makes for a relaxing retreat or unique venue for a conference or wedding.

The resort offers a selection of spacious room-types for all budgets, from economy to deluxe suites. The upgraded rooms feature private balconies and the family suites include a sitting area and refrigerator. The resort's prize jewels, however, are the luxurious villas surrounded by private lagoons and boasting spacious verandas and sunken bathtubs for two people.

The hotel hosts flexible conference and banqueting space for up to 300 people, as well as two luscious lawns. There is also a large pool with waterfall feature, sauna and gym.

There are two on-site restaurants – Hide Tide, serving Indian and international cuisine, and Baywatch Branto, overlooking the pool.

Lonavala's famous Buddhist caves – Karla and Bhaje – are within six kilometres of the resort. The Kune Falls can be reached in 20 minutes by car.

Positive Reviews

Beautiful villas

Those lucky enough to stay in the resort's flagship villas appear to treasure the whole experience. Other guests also admit that they would love to stay there too. Being able to bathe in the lovely lagoons surrounding the villas is a highlight for many, whilst the amenities, such as Jacuzzi for two, and the cosy ambience makes them ideal for couples or newly weds.

Great venue for weddings

The hotel is a popular setting for weddings, with guests appreciating the lovely surroundings and beautiful green lawns, which help create a great atmosphere. Travellers appreciate that there are several different room types to suit different budgets.

Nice pool

The large swimming pool is highly appreciated by guests, particularly for its cleanliness.

Negative Reviews

Questionable value for money

Guests do get the feeling that they are paying over the odds for what they get here. Whilst the place is considered nice enough, they don't reckon it is quite special enough to warrant what they regard as the inflated rates.

Housekeeping could be improved

The cleanliness of the rooms is a bit suspect, with guests claiming it is not up to and acceptable standard. There are also reports of strange and sickly odours in certain rooms.

Weddings take over the resort

Whilst the venue may be great for weddings, guests who are not invited to the party feel neglected. When there is an event on, all the focus appears to be on it with wedding guests said to pretty much take over the establishment.
