Positive Reviews

Steps from the square

With Puerta del Sol right at the doorstep, most travellers think that one can't pick a better location in Madrid. The area is well-known for shopping, with famous department stores and boutiques within walking distance. Guests also suggest checking out the street behind the hotel, as it has some excellent restaurants and bars.

Clean, well-equipped rooms

Most guests are impressed with the accommodations, and find the rooms to be very clean and well-maintained. Air conditioning is a much-appreciated addition in the summer for travellers. Guests are also huge fans of the balcony rooms and recommend them.

Negative Reviews

Small spaces

According to reviews, the rooms here are quite small and lack storage space for personal items. Guests with luggage and/or travelling with a companion find the rooms too cramped. In addition, guests say the bathrooms and showers are especially tiny.

Street noise

While the street view rooms are the most beautiful and highly recommended, they have the downside of late-night noise. According to visitors, the area is quite busy, even at night, because of the many restaurants and bars in the area. Earplugs are recommended to those trying to get some sleep.

Off-site reception

Guests are surprised to find that the reception is not located within the same building, but a couple doors down at another hotel. For travellers with lots of luggage, this is a major inconvenience.
