The Harvest Festival is a celebration of McLaren Vale's local food, regional produce, boutique beer and amazing wines. The day begins at 11am with the Parade of Children and Blessing of the Harvest, followed by the official opening. The activities continue throughout the day Wine, Cheers, Beer and Olive Oil Masterclasses, Celebrity Wine Spitting Challenge, Cheong Liew Cooking Demonstrations and Entertainment and Activities for children of all ages including Pony Rides, Rock Climbing Wall, Maze, Facepainting, the Harvest Festival Treasure Hunt, plus more. Live Entertainment will continue throughout the day on the Main Stage will local, regional and national artists performing. The Harvest Festival takes place on the 17th January 2015 from 11am to 8pm, so make a day out of it an experience the very best in McLaren Vale and Fleurieu local produce, food, wine and beer with over 20 stalls and entertainment throughout the day. Also on the 16th of January the Feast on the Fleurieu takes place, with fantastic food, wine and entertainment.
