Positive Reviews

Incredibly central location

The hostel is located in the very heart of Melbourne, seconds away from Flinders Street station. It is therefore easy to access dozens of restaurants, shops and tourist attractions on foot, a factor highly praised by hundreds of reviews.

Free breakfast each morning

Breakfast is complimentary and includes an array of cereals and spreads. Guests enjoy having a free breakfast and state that it is a great extra touch from the hostel. Not having to pay for their first meal of the day is convenient for guests and thus rated highly.

International atmosphere

Many reviews indicate that this hostel has a very international environment with travellers from across the globe. Coupled with the events that the hostel hosts throughout the week, it is said to be a great place to meet and interact with fellow travellers.

Negative Reviews

Many long term guests

Reviews often comment on the amount of long term guests who are living at this hostel, with many guests feeling uncomfortable as a result. Guests report that the dormitories feature guests who are on working holiday visas and therefore short term guests can feel as if they are intruding on someone's home.

Awful Wi-Fi quality

Wi-Fi is repeatedly criticised for being slow and having a poor range. Reviews report that it doesn't reach to the bedrooms and can only be used in the communal areas. It is also said to be very slow and regularly disconnecting, as a consequence guests rate this amenity very poorly.

Rooms with no windows

Several of the rooms of this property do not have windows, a factor which multiple guests suggest gives the room a claustrophobic feel. The lack of natural light is something that dozens of guests do not enjoy and feel is a negative element of the hostel.
