Wonderful location

Guests loved the hotel's location in the middle of the buzzing Southbank Promenade, which offers ample shopping and dining options, art galleries, theaters and access to public transportation. To balance the exposure to this active environment, guests can also enjoy a relaxing walk along the Yarra River.

From the first impression of the lobby to the hallways and rooms, the hotel boasts an elegant design with opulent décor, waterfalls and fresh flowers.

Superior housekeeping

Not only does housekeeping maintain the rooms in pristine condition, but guests especially appreciate the nightly turn-down service. Between a personal note, little treats, bottled water and slippers being arranged, guests reported feeling utterly pampered.

Negative Reviews

Staff not always measuring up

A few guests complained about staff members, particularly the concierge and security personnel not being professional, helpful and friendly enough. However, this seems to be the exception, perhaps due to lack of training, as the overall impression of the hotel staff seems to be one of superior customer service skills.

Some rooms can be noisy

Some guests found their rooms to be noisy, as they cited the air-conditioning and heating units to be outdated and therefore loud. A few also recommended getting a room away from the elevators, as their movement as well as the increased foot traffic in those areas could be overheard inside the rooms.

Occasional lack of attention to detail

While most guests loved the staff's proactive and helpful attitude, some had experienced less-than-stellar service, as special requests required a lot of patience and some pre-booked arrangements were not carried out.
