Located in Melbourne central business district, this luxury hotel is close to the famous Flinders Street Station with ''trains to anywhere.'' Meanwhile, the iconic Bourke Street Mall is just 302 meters away. The location of Novotel Melbourne on Collins Hotel is ideal for guests who are interested in shopping especially clothes shopping, theater and generally moving around Melbourne.

Large, airy rooms.

The rooms here are large and spacious, with top-notch amenities including 32-inch-LCD TVs, pay and premium TV channels, iPad/iPod docking stations, minibars, private bathrooms, Wi-Fi, and wired Internet. Guests who have stayed here have described the hotel as exuding sheer luxury and ultimate comfort.

Looking good as new.

The hotel has recently undergone major upgrades and guests have reported that everything, including often-neglected areas such as bathrooms, are looking as good as new. Guests have also reported that they were pleasantly surprised to discover that currently ongoing renovations are raising minimal noise or distractions for the guests.

Negative Reviews

Older rooms in poor condition.

Though much of Novotel Melbourne on Collins has undergone renovations, a sizable part has not. Some guests who stayed in the older rooms have reported that they are in poor condition with some facilities run down.

No notice provided for unavailable facilities.

The hotel has failed to provide prior notice to guests regarding the unavailability of some amenities due to the ongoing renovations. Guests reported that coming to the hotel and finding some facilities such as the swimming room unavailable proved to be a deal-breaker.

Hotel sends unsolicited ads to guests.

A few guests reported feeling aggrieved after the hotel sent them ads on their mobile phones trying to upsell them other services. This happened even after the said guests requested not to be pestered with ads.
