Positive Reviews

It’s a first class location.

The apartments are just behind Hamer Hall and Southbank itself. It’s an easy walk to the Arts Centre, CBD, sporting events at MCG, Rod Laver Tennis Centre, Crown Casino and a good choice of restaurants. Flinders Street Station is a similar easy distance and just over the bridge.

Attractive accommodation.

There’s plenty of space and the accommodation is cleaned to a good standard. Beds are really comfortable and there’s a generous supply of pillows. There’s Foxtel on the TV and a DVD player.

Spectacular additions.

If you’re lucky, stand by for some really impressive views from the apartment. Also, the gymnasium and spa are spectacularly good.

Negative Reviews

Upgrade required.

Dishwasher is kaput and some fixtures and fittings would benefit from a revamp. There’s also an accumulation of mould in the bathroom. Apartments are individually owned so, it’s the old ‘luck of the draw’ situation regarding standards, cleanliness and facilities.

No-one to turn to!

There are always queries or things that don’t work properly, but here, there’s no front desk. You’re on your own really. Yes, you can telephone them but it’s in the lap of the gods as to whether they respond. Having said that, the members of staff you do meet are very nice and friendly.

Overpriced for what it is.

There are maintenance and decoration problems here which shouldn’t be associated with accommodation that’s priced at this level. The poor quality air conditioning just highlights one of a number of areas that need some urgent attention. The apartment is clean, but tired and worn out.
