Positive Reviews

Nice location.

Guests couldn't fault the location, and said that it was one of the best parts about staying here. The neighbourhood was safe and attractive, and there was a tram stop in front of the hostel that made it easy to get into Melbourne. The airport was also accessible, with just a 30-minute commute, and a choice of shuttle buses brought guests right to the front door.

Time for some fun.

This was a great place to meet people, and if you like socialising and getting to know fellow travellers, this could be a sure bet. Late night activities also kept the party going, and guests said that this was the ideal spot to let loose and really enjoy themselves.

Friendly staff.

Warm and welcoming staff were a highlight for many. Guests said that staff did their best to accommodate them, and that they were approachable and pleasant to talk to.

Negative Reviews

Questionable cleanliness.

Guests thought that more effort needed to be devoted to cleaning. Rooms and common areas alike were less than tidy in many cases, and several guests passed on using the kitchen facilities when they saw that they weren't maintained to an acceptable standard.

Noise, noise and more noise.

While it was the perfect place to have a good time, guests who needed to sleep were unimpressed with the loud music coming from the downstairs pub on weekends. Lots of noise from other guests was also a problem, making this hostel far from quiet.

Shower surprise.

You'll probably have to forego any long, lingering showers when staying here. Fluctuating water temperatures kept guests on their toes, and a lack of hot water startled more than a few.
