Positive Reviews

Clean and comfortable.

Despite the high volume of visitors, guests felt that staff kept on top of cleaning. Corridors, common areas and bathrooms were maintained to a high standard, and guests loved that it felt more like a hotel than a hostel with the level of cleanliness.

A friendly place to be.

Guests liked the overall vibe, and found it easy to strike up conversations with fellow guests and staff alike. Staff were always on hand to help out or provide information about the local area, and guests said that it was a nice place to return to at the end of a long day.

Convenient location.

Guests were happy with the location, which was an ideal base point for getting around. The nearest tram line was a ten-minute walk away, and most major sights were easy to reach.

Negative Reviews

Prepare for noise.

There were lots of guests coming and going at different hours of the day, which didn't always make for a peaceful sleep. Guests recommended wearing ear plugs or even planning to stay out late to avoid any uncomfortable wake-ups.

Stairs a nuisance.

A steep staircase was annoying for a number of guests, and particularly those staying on the top floor. Hopefully you will be travelling light, but if your backpack is heavy, or you just want to avoid the climb, ask for a room on the lower floors.

Absent air-conditioning.

Air-conditioning was not one of the amenities that guests got to enjoy, and it was painfully obvious at times. Guests in shared rooms were particularly inconvenienced, and you may want to keep this in mind if your visit is during the summer.
