Unique and breathtakingly beautiful, the 4-star Lochmara Lodge offers a total experience…whether you want to get active, explore or relax and indulge there is something here for you.

There are NO roads to Lochmara but we can easily arrange water transport for you from Picton. Scheduled departure times.(charges apply).

Lochmara is tucked beside the water's edge in Lochmara Bay, has its own beach and is surrounded by the bush clad hills of the Marlborough Sounds. The Lodge is a wonderful retreat with no road access and no TVs - just the pristine bush environment, countless activity options including free use of our kayaks, million dollar views, and colourful native birdlife. Take a hike to the Queen Charlotte track for a great day walk.

Daily animal feeding (eels, pigs and chickens) and including the Kakariki (NZ native parrot) who will eat seed out of your hand...After dark visit the glow-worms and phosphorescence.

Onsite restaurant is open all day and caters to guests for breakfast, lunch, dinner, all day snacks, local wines and great coffee.

Indulge in the "bath-house" or a have a massage by the qualified in-house massage therapist.
