About Hotel Club House

The Club House Roma is situated in a quite area just on the outskirts of central Rome, with easy metro access to the Vatican - just three stops away.

Rooms at Club House Roma are decorated in a classical style and feature soundproofing, TVs and free in-room Wi-Fi access.

There is parking available for visitors braving the crazy Roman traffic, and also a sun terrace for those after la dolce vita. Late check-in is possible at the 24 hour reception, and there is luggage storage for when you have a late flight.

Only breakfast is available at the hotel, but the staff will be more than happy to suggest many great Italian dining options for lunch and dinner. Nearby Frankie’s Grill has been highly recommended.

The Vatican, with the immense St Peter’s Cathedral, and the ever popular Vatican Museum, is just three metro stops away. Rome’s social centre, the famous Spanish steps, are just a couple more stops.

Positive Reviews

Good value for money

Compared to central hotels of the same standard, guests found the Club House Roma very good value. Most did not consider the fact that it was a bit out of central Rome to be a problem, since the metro runs near the hotel and takes you into the centre very quickly.

Great location near metro station

Many guests comment that they loved being able to get into Rome via metro so quickly. The Vatican is just three stops away, and the historic centre of Rome just a couple more.

Friendly and genuinely kind staff

Again and again comments are made about how incredibly helpful the hotel's staff are. There are many tales of small acts of kindness that left travellers with a very favourable impression.

Negative Reviews

Misleading star rating

While most guests are quite happy with the quality of the hotel, given the price they paid, many do insist that it is actually a three star hotel claiming to be a four star one. This tends to set them up for disappointment, since the deal they got is not quite as favourable as they expected.

Bathrooms on the small side

A recurrent complaint is that the bathrooms, and especially the showers, were too small for comfort. Guests felt that this would be acceptable in a budget hotel, but definitely not in a four star.

Less than spectacular outlook

Rather than Rome's seven hills, most rooms seem to look out onto rather drab buildings nearby. This, and the fact that the immediate neighbourhood is described as “nondescript”, does not immediately put travellers into a great holiday mood. Things do improve once they get into the centre of Rome though.
