Positive Reviews

For whom the bell tolls

This is one of the main streets in Rome and is unbeatable for its choice of shops and restaurants. You can walk from here to most of the city’s prime attractions so the location couldn’t be any better. It’s a very busy area, but the accommodation is really quiet. Once you are inside and away from the constant buzz of central Rome, everything is very quiet and serene. The only occasional noise is that of distant church bells.

It's a step in the right direction

There’s a friendly welcome from the owner and all the help you need to find places to explore in the city. One of a number of attractions that are particularly close by is The Spanish Steps.

Fully focused

Unusually, the accommodation here matches the publicity photos perfectly. It is very impressive. Accommodation is nicely furnished and decorated. It is also immaculately clean.

Negative Reviews

Flood alert

There’s a problem with the shower door not closing properly, resulting in the floor getting flooded.

It’s easy to miss

If you’ve arranged for them to pick you up from the airport on arrival, there’s no problem. If getting here under your own steam, there are no external signs on the building, so the place is difficult to find.

Inefficient air-con

The air-conditioning comes in the form of a small, portable unit and it is incapable of coping with the summer heat and humidity. If only there was a balcony to offer some relief from the escalating room temperature … but there isn’t. In fact, everything is quite basic here. Consequently, quite a few aspects invite some adverse criticism.
