Positive Reviews

Nice, comfy rooms

The Rothwell House in Northamptonshire is a comfortable hotel that provides well kept rooms for guests to enjoy relaxing stays in. There are some handicap accessible rooms in this establishment that can be accessed via ramps.

Good restaurant

The Rothwell House restaurant receives very good reviews from guests who have enjoyed tasty and wholesome meals here and have enjoyed spending time in the bar and dining area. The beer served is good and reasonably priced as well said guests.

Friendly and hospitable

The staff at the hotel is friendly and welcoming thought a lot of guests. The service at the restaurant is also generally said to be of a good standard.

Negative Reviews

Basic rooms

Some rooms are rather small, felt guests and the large bed seemed to be overwhelming for the size of the room. The facilities are rather basic and there are no views to speak of, said guests. Several guests felt that the rooms are OK for short stays but that they would prefer to look elsewhere for longer stays.

Room niggles

Broken furniture, light fittings hanging off the walls and worn furnishing are some of the issues pointed out by some guests. Few guests felt that the mattresses were old and uncomfortable and some guests felt that the entire hotel and rooms need a complete overhaul.

The rooms have thin walls and noises tend to carry from one to another room/bathroom. Having a pub and restaurant below also means that it can be noisy till late at night with drunk guests or partiers having a good time.
