Positive Reviews

Being the first LEED certified hotel in Seattle, the Hyatt At Olive 8 is setting a standard. The hotel is environmentally conscious in most things. They feature energy and water saving fixtures, and serve locally sourced foods.

Relaxation and Sophistication

Guests enjoyed the spa, fitness and pool area. The saltwater pool is perfect for doing laps, with a length of 20 meters. Afterwards, enjoy the whirlpool and pass through the locker rooms which have a sauna and steam room.

Modern Comfort

The hotel looks modern and new and does not skimp on looking good. The rooms are always kept spotless. Guests found the furniture and fixtures to be very high quality and the Hyatt Grand Beds extremely comfortable. The rooms have tons of outlets, perfect for our electronic filled lifestyles.

Negative Reviews

Unknowledgeable Staff

For the most part, guests found their service experience at the Hyatt impeccable but some guests complain that the new staff is poorly trained and "unknowledgeable" in their job duties.

Quiet Zone

Many guests found their rooms to be rather quiet, especially since the hotel is located in a quiet residential zone. However, some guests found that the walls were too thin and they could hear their neighbors too well. Traffic noise may be a problem at lower levels too but this is generally true for most of hotels in downtown Seattle.

Cool Pool

Some guests complained that the pool was not heated properly.
