Positive Reviews

Wonderfully friendly staff

The people that work at this hotel really do their best to make you feel welcome. They are actually more like bar staff, so they are used to chatting with customers and guests. They make you feel welcome and make the bar a less intimidating place.

Superb food

The pub grub that is served at the bistro is top class. It's not too expensive, and you get a great choice on the menu. There are even options for the kids which is a nice touch. The portions are large and the food is delicious, a winning combination.

Clean and comfortable

The rooms are very well maintained at this small hotel. Guests are impressed by the cleanliness of the entire place and say that the rooms are actually extremely cozy. The beds are said to be fit for a king as they are so comfortable.

Negative Reviews

Too noisy

This place is a pub with rooms so you can expect to hear quite a lot of noise from the people having a few drinks. This is also quite a popular pub, so there's no real let up in the noise, and the rooms aren't soundproofed at all.

Smoking area by the accommodation

If you want to get to your room, you'll have to walk through the smoking area and the pub. This is extremely bad planning, and guests aren't too happy about it. It's very inconvenient if you have kids and need to pass through a lot of smoke.
