Jolly Camping in Town, by Porto Marghera, and ten minute's drive from the Piazza Roma - with its waterbus connections to the Venetian islands - is ideal for a budget trip to Venice.

Guests can choose between a selection of accommodation types, such as tent pitches, two to five berth mobile homes, chalets and three-bed dormitories. The mobile homes and chalets are all air-conditioned and the rooms have a desk and safe.

Free Wi-Fi is available in the common areas and there is a supermarket onsite to stock up on provisions. Guests can also cool off in the large swimming pool and twin hot-tubs.

Jolly Camping in Town hosts a restaurant onsite offering breakfasts, Italian cuisine and pizzas, as well as a bar selling snacks and drinks.

The complex runs regular shuttle buses to Venice, taking about 15 minutes, whilst Venice Santa Lucia railway station is around nine kilometres away.

Unbeatable value

If you're travelling to Venice on a shoestring budget, guests reckon that you couldn't possibly get a better price than here.

Useful shuttle service

Whilst St Mark's Square or the Rialto Bridge are not on your doorstep, you can reach them, and the other sights of Venice, with relative ease, thanks to the complex's shuttle service. Guests say it offers excellent value and you can be in Venice in 15 to 20 minutes.

Great facilities

Guests love the vibe of this place - and its many facilities. Not only have you a lovely large pool to swim in, there is a supermarket and convenient restaurant onsite.

You get what you pay for

The rates may be cheap, but that also means having to make certain sacrifices. You have no TV or kettle in your room and guests find that they are far too cramped for three people to share. Many guests are also surprised to find that there is no linen, blankets or duvets provided and these have to be hired out. Even those staying in mobile homes have to hire pots and pans for a supplement!

A bit far from Venice

Guests are often surprised at how far away they are from Venice - or anywhere else for that matter. If you want to get around by yourself, you have a ten-minute walk to even get to the nearest bus-stop, then a further 20 minute ride.

Expensive restaurant

Without much in the surrounding area, those without self-catering facilities feel forced to have to eat at the onsite restaurant. They say that whilst the quality is acceptable for a snack, it is not great for having a decent meal and very expensive for what you get.
