Positive Reviews

Comfortable and well-kept cabins and camp sites.

Reviewers stated that the cabins are homely, clean, and nicely maintained. The kitchens were also said to be well-stocked and equipped for easy self-catering. Guests with caravans added that the camp sites are well-kept as well.

Quiet location is close to many attractions.

Although close to town, the park grounds are quiet and relaxed. The supermarket and shopping complex across the street was a huge convenience for many, and the location is within easy walking distance or a short drive from local attractions and water activities.

Great family-friendly facilities.

The park is perfectly suited for groups of travellers, especially families with children. Visitors gave high praise to the common facilities such as the barbecue and picnic area as well as the new playground which was popular with the kids.

Negative Reviews

Gas appliances can be fussy at times.

The cabins feature gas instead of electric heat and a number of guests had trouble with some of the appliances as a result. The stoves were said to be tricky to operate or slow to heat, and people had issues with water temperature in the showers.

Cabins are a bit too close together.

Many reviewers would have liked more space between the cabins. Visitors reported some privacy issues due to this, such as people peering through their cabin windows or neighbors’ conversations being clearly audible.

Accommodations are somewhat cramped for adults.

Although well-equipped for families with kids, the cabins were said to be a bit tight for groups of adults. Guests cited a lack of cabin room for storage of luggage and camping gear, and caravanners stated that the small camp sites may be tricky for larger RVs.
