Positive Reviews

Excellent kitchen facilities

The kitchen was highlighted as one of the top amenities at this hotel. Guests loved the large spacious work area to prepare meals, and the fact that it's open 24/7 was very handy for those late-night snacks.

Great price

The combination of top quality services and excellent amenities was the reason guests commented on the very good value they got for their money. Room prices were considered to be very attractive, which is why many travellers were repeat guests.

Convenient to railway station

The hotel is about as close to the railway station as you can get, without actually sleeping there. Guests found it literally just a hop, skip and jump away, making getting around quite convenient for them.

Negative Reviews

Could do with some renovation

Although this is an older building, and it did seem to have a certain amount of charm, guests felt that it could do with some work. The brickwork was quite run down and shabby, and the rooms were looking a bit tatty.

Quite a noisy area

Because of the close proximity to the railway station and the ferry terminal, guests were disturbed by the sound of the trains and ferry's during the early hours of the morning. The fact that garbage is also collected so early made the disturbances all the worse.

Lockers are not in rooms

Although guests are welcome to use the lockers located at the front desk, they found this very inconvenient. They would have preferred to have them in the rooms to store their belongings.
