Most guests liked the location. It is far enough from the noisy streets of Bali, and yet at a walking distance from the bar, beach, money exchange and shopping areas.
positive:
Good facilities with friendly staff
The morning breakfast was well complemented. There are two restaurants offering a good variety of cuisine. The guests found lounge and spa to be very relaxing, and a good place to cool off after a hectic season.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Open pool is warm in the morning
The tropical climate has had an effect on the open pool. Guests found the pool temperature to be warm, sometimes borderline hot. It may be a cause of concern for people taking a summer trip to the resort.
negative:
Mosquito infestation in open areas
Guests have had to deal with mosquito infestation at the terrace, balcony and some of the Alam Villa rooms. The hotel staff use a spray on request, but some guests found the smell inconvenient. Guests point to the cracks in the roof and door frame, which make it easy for the mosquitoes to enter.
negative:
Multiple rooms need renovation
Some guests felt that the hotel looked tired and the older rooms needed renovation as the walls appear moist and cracked. The bathroom was uncomfortable for some of the older travellers because of the slippery surface devoid of mats. Travellers were also bothered by the gap on either side of the sliding doors in the bathroom.
