After four decades Poppies Bali Hotel is still being discovered by those wishing to escape the glitz and glamour of grandiose hotels while expecting comfortable clean surroundings, modern amenities, friendly service, and true Balinese charm. Just 20 spacious individual thatched cottages luxuriously appointed with collectors’ antiques, Indonesian fabrics and a host of thoughtfully provided creature comforts nestle in beautifully kept gardens, with ponds, waterfalls, towering coconut palms, and a stunning swimming pool built among rocks and sunbathing terraces, overhung with riotous bougainvillea. Poppies Restaurant next-door was established back in 1973, and is still renowned for its fresh seafood, and tasty Indonesian and international cuisine, served in a romantic tropical setting. A magnificent breakfast is available at the restaurant, or may equally be served in style on your own spacious private terrace overlooking its garden. All the excitement of Kuta - including its famous beach - lies just beyond the stone gateway from the little oasis which is Poppies.
