Bear Park Orsa Grönklitt (Orsa, Sweden)

In der Region Dalana in Schweden besteht das größte Wiederansiedlungsprojekt von Bären im ganzen Land. Auf 100 Quadratkilometer leben 28 Bären, insgesamt sind es 600 allein hier. Die Tiere sind sehr scheu und haben einen ausgeprägten Geruchssinn. Im Jahre 1984 wurde von Andrea Friebe das skandinavische Braunbär-Forschungsprojekt verbunden mit dem Bärenpark Orsa Grönklitt gegründet. Die Mitarbeiter ermitteln die Zahl der Tiere und bringen Sender an ihnen an, um Rückschlüsse über Gewohnheiten und Wanderungen ziehen zu können. In dem neun Hektar großen Park werden Führungen angeboten. In großzügigen Gehegen leben 13 Braunbären, neuerdings auch Kamtschatkabären. Ein Besuch im Rahmen der Führung führt zu den Plätzen, an denen sich Tiere aufgehalten haben. Vor dem Ereignis wird der Gast noch in einer Ausstellung über das Forschungsprojekt und die Tiere informiert. Orsa liegt etwa 300 km von Oslo nordöstlich bzw. Stockholm nordwestlich entfernt, an der B 45. Der Bärenpark ist täglich vom 20.Mai bis 10.September geöffnet. Eine Anmeldung ist erforderlich.
